GREGORY THE GREAT SLOVENIAN PARISH 10/62 JEZUS, STUDENEC ŽIVE VODE Številka - Number / Leto - Year Po Jezusovih skušnjavah v puščavi in po njegovi spremenitvi na gori 8. 3. 2026 Tabor nam današnji evangelij predstavi Jezusovo srečanje in pogovor s Samarijanko. Prišel je k Jakobovemu vodnjaku, v deželi Sihar v Samariji; od potovanja je bil utrujen in tudi žejen. Neka žena je prišla zajemat vodo. 3. POSTNA NEDELJA Jezus jo je prosil, naj mu da piti. Tako se je začel dolg pogovor z njo. Najprej nas prevzame dejstvo, da se Jezus pogovarja z žensko, kajti 3RD SUNDAY OF LENT po miselnosti tistega časa je bilo nemogoče, da bi se rabi pogovarjal žensko, pa čeprav bi šlo za razlago resnic razodetja. Ko se apostoli vrnejo, se čudijo. Poleg tega je žena Samarijanka, pripada torej ljudstvu, ki se je ločilo od Izraela, od ljudstva, ki je zvesto ohranilo pravo vero. In povrh vsega živi v neurejenem zakonskem razmerju: poročila se je s petimi moškimi in ta, s katerim živi, ni njen mož. Največji vtis pa napravi dejstvo, da jo prosi, naj mu da vode, da se bo odžejal. Jezus, Božji Sin, postane berač, ko to ženo prosi za malo vode in to z namenom, da bi ji posredoval svoje božansko življenje. Prosi jo za vodo, da bi ji dal neko drugo vodo, ki jo ima samo on in je edina sposobna popolnoma odžejati. Ta voda je dar milosti, dar Svetega Duha. FR. No sales at the door! 112 - V������ 2026 CWL Bazaar On Bazaar Sunday, March 1st, 2026, we came together for a lovely Mass led by Father Drago Gačnik which was accompanied by music performed by the English choir under the direction of Ivan Mertuk. After Mass we enjoyed an afternoon of fellow- ship and fun. This bazaar has stood the test of time, embraced by first, second, third and now our fourth generation! Father Drago Gačnik, our spiritual advisor, assisted us in every way possible, among other things with advice, signage, printing, equipment repairs and photography. We sincerely thank you! Many hands were involved in getting things ready for our bazaar. Table setup on Friday in- cluded Michael Staniša, Harrison, Joe and Pamela Gosgnach. Sidonia and Rosemary be- gan the process of arranging prize tables and supplies for these tables and the bake table. Further setup and arrangement of place settings on Saturday involved Monica Bradica, Em- manuela Chukwuma, Teresa Farbotko, Lojze Ferenčak, Pamela Gosgnach, Majda Lukežič, Immaculata Okpalaezinne and Ana Plošinjak with assistance from kitchen staff. Luncheon ticket sales and seating plan for a full house of attendees involved Pamela, Sido- nia and Rosemary. So pleased that we were able to welcome everyone as one big family! Nancy Dundek-Taylor led the cooking of a delicious Slovenian style meal assisted by Drag- ica Ferenčak, Kasia, Adam, Natalie Bosiljevač, Majda Lukežič, Štefka Eržen and Ana Plošinjak. Busy servers were Alyssa, Triston, Jennifer, Daniel, Patryk, Sara, Mika, Lucas, Lily, Elsie, Elvis and Ellis. A hit was Rock, Paper, Scissors played by all age groups bringing different gen- erations together.
