Anglija bo pomagala Hitlerju, dasi Francija ostro protestira Berlin, 25. februarja. No. 47, Sat., Feb. 26, 1938 v Zupan mesta Ljubljane Kot smo poročali pride meseca maja v Cleveland na slavnostno otvoritev Jugoslovanskega kulturnega vrta najvišji predstavnik Slovenije — župan prestolice, bele Ljubljane, dr. Bo to zgodovinski dan, prvič v zgodovini ameriških Slovencev, ko bomo imeli srečo sprejeti v svojo sredo tako visokega gosta in — rodnega brata. Jugoslovanski kulturni vrt bo tedaj v svojem najlepšem sijaju, v cvetju in zelenju in bo prijazno pozdravljal visokega gosta iz domovine. Leta in leta smo neumorno delovali, znašali skupaj in žrtvovali. In ko bo zrl odposlanec domovine dr. Kaj češ, da me spravi ob vse. Caga-va op. Jak.) Zdravi! J. Resnik. Cleveland Newburg), O.— Takole smo .se smejali: ha, ha, ha; he, he, he, hi, hi, hi! Kaj takega pa še ni bilo v Newburgu, cdkar svet stoji. Kurent (Tom,as Mrvtir), je bil pravi burkež. Ko bo poslušal tega vnetega lovca govoriti o jelenih, srnjakih, zajcih in medvedih, ga bo pograbil apetit za divjačino in lov. Mr. Baraga vsako jesen stisne mnogo grozdja in njegova vina so zelo okusna. Heinz Company (An Audio production—Talkie) "Seeds of Cervice" is a picture stoiy of the realization cf a great man's ideals and faith in the search for better food for mankind. It is a story told of the union of scientific research in the laboratoryy and on the farm to produce food products that excel in flavor, quality, and nutritive value. It is a picture of human interest—of human beings, happy human beings, guided by unswerving loyalty to an ideal. It is a professional production — beautifully blended with a musical background. A cartoon will also be added. No admission will be charged—no collection taken. LENTEN DEVOTIONS Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday when the Holy Season of Lent opens. Services in St. Vitus Church during Lent will be held every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday evening at 7:15. The Stations of the Cross will be on Sundays and Fridays and a sermon on Wednesday. FRIDAY NITE PARTIES Have ycu patronized any of the Friday Nite Parties so far? If not, this coming Friday will be a good time to come down. The party is especially good for the Lenten season as dancing is not one of the features. JUNIOR JOURNAL JUNIOR HOLLYWOOD BOUND That is how a headline might :-ead after the Juniors get to see themselves in the movies next month. Some boy might get the idea he is another Tyrone Power or what have you, and start singing "California, Here I Come." But all fun aside, Tony Martincic will show us the films they took at the Communion and breakfast in Januaryy. A preview of the movies shows that Stanley Frank, our local wince producer, managed to get most of the Juniors in pictures. PER SIN'S PUGULISTIC PROTEGES Here is the group of Juniors that signed up for the Holy Name boxing ahow in April, which is being promoted by Whitey Persin. Looking down the list we notice a let of familiar names, but who knows maybe Whitcy will uncover a "white hope" or we might be watching another slugging Slovenian, like the Jimmy Adamic fellow, in the making that night. Here's the list: John Mencin, 140 lbs.; Frank Luzar, 140 lbs.; Ludw'ig Zace, 135 lbs ; John Schuster, 130 lbs.; S. Strojin, 135 lbs.; Joe Basnik, 125 lbs.; J. Stich, 110 lbs.; F. Mocil-nikar, 105 lbs.; Bay Skully, 105 !.bs.; Ed Zobec. 100 lbs.; Al. Kastelic, :>8 lbs.; J. Trcha, 90 lbs. —Junior Journalist ANNIVERSARY Last Tuesday night Mr. and Mrs. Lou Krajc celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. Many happy returns of the day and may you have many more of them. "GOLGOTHA" A religious super-special. The only ALL-TALKING life of Christ ever brought to the screen. Not te bo confused with the many and various Passion Plays, which are mostly older plays with musical accompaniment dubbed on for sound. In "Golgotha" the characters actually talk. The role of the "Christus" is played by the famous French actor, Robert Le Vigan, the rest of the cast have been chosen specially to fit their roles. This immortal story, with its cast cf thousands, ha« won the approbation of the clergy and the press. The sots of this production are magnificent—the Biblical characters live again in the flesh—telling the story of Christ. Movie to be shown in St. Vitus School Hall, Monday and Wednesday evenings, March 7 and 9 at 7:45; admission 25c. Tickets are being sold by the children of our school, the Sodalists, and at Novak's Confectionery Store, St. Clair and Norwood Rd. ST. DO YOU REALIZE THAT there •are over 610 national communist and affiliated organizations, with thousands of state and local ranches, in heated revolutionary action in the United States today? DO YOU REALIZE THAT there are over 700 communist newspapers and magazines, printed in all languages, circulated regularly (some daily and seme weekly) in the United States today? These and many other facts are exposed in a 46-page report to Congress by Walter S. Steele of the National Republic, Washington, D. C., which was recently printed by the United States Government Printing Office. SOME FACTS ABOUT COMMUNISM IN THIS COUNTRY DO YOU REALIZE THAT there are six times as many members in the Communist Party and its affiliated movements in the United States today as there were in Russia at the time of the bloddy bolshevist revolution which cost the lives of millions of so-called "capitalists," peasants, ministers, men, women and children, and all of their property and private right? DO YOU REALIZE THAT there are twice as many members in communist and affiliated movements in the United States today as there are at present in the Communist Party cf Russia which subjects 168,000,000 Russians to enslavement and depredation by armed force? Anthony Zorko: GETTING A JOB IS EASY! NOTE: All who knew Anthony Zorko will be glad to learn that some of his more serious essays will be published on this page from time to time. Zorko did a great deal of writing both for school work and his own pleasure. He had secret ambitions to devote himself rather lightly to writing; from early years he Had kept a diary which he hoped would be developed into a biography of his life and struggles. With the kind permission of his mother, Mrs. Jennie Zorko, we publish the first cf the series. Others will appear in the very near' future. » * * Just the other day I happened to think of the simplicity of getting a good job these days. Of course, these thoughts came to my mind merely as a matter of personal experience and accomplishment. I am a finished man when it comes to looking for a job. But, to get on with my story, it was just last Saturdayyy that I made my usual rounds. My first stop was the Nya offices. I knew this place quite well, because I had wasted, on former trips, quite a great deal of shoe leather in ascending the three flights of stairs to my destination. "Ch, yes, Mr. C. Henry Tittle was now ready to see me—we are sorry you had to writ forty-five minutes, but you surely must understand that Mr. C. Henry Tittle never starts the day without first reading the Plain Dealer funnies." Well and good! Mr. C. Henry Tittle politely seated me in a plush chair, proifered me a fifty-cent cigar, and introduced me very informally to his eye-striking beautiful "steno," Then seme stooge from behind the scenes brought in the reports to show what had been done towards getting me a job. It seemed that I was to get a job, oh—in just a few days, or so. "But I'll tell you what, Zoi-ko—to malce it even more certain that you can go to work as soon as possible, you come in next Saturday at nine tor a psychology examination; from this exam we will be able to place you to work at what you are best suited, and that within a very short Ume," As I walked out of the building I could not help but feel cheerful and optimistic in the prospect that I finally was going to get a real honest-to-goodness job. I couldn't wait until Saturday to take that psychology exam and win my job. In fact, I thought that it was no use going any farther looking for a job that morning—in one more week I would be one of those fortunate ones who are called wage-earners! While I wa> passing Weeks & Co. I thought I'd step in and see what was dcing there. Passing through the employment manager's room I began to feel rather out of place— somehow, it seemed to me, I had blundered into the 1st. President's private office. But, no—there .was the sign, "Apply Here for Employ ment." Well, really, it was astound ing. The room was dccorated in a marvelous fashion, the furniture was the best of its kind, including plush chairs, a Louis XIV. couch, an Oriental rug, and several sparkling ashtrays fully stocked with the "making." A pretty blonde smiled her welcome frcm behind a glass partition as she cordially waved me to a seat. The employment manager, an imposing man of about thirty, put in his appearance with, "Say, I've got just the thing for you—$215 a month, to start, and 36 hours a week." I was speechless, struck dumb. Eve-dently my face expressed some of my doubt, and the fellow read my expressions as a form of refusal. "Just a minute, I'll let you see Mr. Fields, the concern's president. Really, ycu mustn't leave before you see him. Of course, I can't blame you for not accepting at $215, but I am certain Mr. Fields will arrange matters more satisfactorily with you." I tried to explain that I was going to get a job next Saturday, but nothing that I could say was going to change his idea that I wait to see the president of the concern. I was ushered into this august person's presence with all due pomp and ceremony. I must say the president must have heard something nice about me, judging from the kind reception I was given into his senctuary. "Why, Zorko, (I wonder where he had learned my name), don't you think you had better reconsider before leaving us in the lurch in this fashioh?- (While I appeared to be deliberating, he came out witlp) "I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll give you $10,000 the year (that's $100 more than I'm getting), and your choice of any secretary in the company. What do you say?" "Why, I — I — I.....okay Ma, I'll get up in Just a minute; I suess I sort of overslept, didn't I?" THAT FARCE AGAIN "Fseudo-doctor" is the name of it. It pleased such a large number of people on the first Sunday of this month, when presented under the auspices of our Altar Society and arcused so much favorable comment that it was decided to present it again tomorrow night. Language used makes no difference in enjoying a lot of slap-stick comedy; its appeal is universal and can easily be understood by all. Anne Kocman's \ cousin, Al Klavora, expressed it after the last performance when he said, that he couldn't understand a dozen words but still considered it one of the best amateur comedies he ever saw. You don't need to know any language to appreciate a patient biting his dentist's finger while the latter tries awkwardly to extract a tooth. Anesthesia administered by a sledge hammer in the hands of a puzzled charlatan can be just as funny in Tuikish as in English. These are just a few situations in a farce so uproariously funny that people almost need doctor's care after witnessing its performance. If you don't begrudge yourself a good belly-laugh you'll be among those present tomorrow night. Of course, there will be music after the show starting at about 9, or soon thereafter. That new sensation, Louie Trebar and his gang, will furnish the musical embellishment for the occasion. A fairly large crowd was well pleased with him last Sunday. YOU come and try him out, too. Admission for the ENTIRE evening will be only 25c. COSTUME BALL Sponsored by the United Lodges Club Shrove Tuesday's colorful cos-time ball will close our pre-Lenten social season. $10.00 in cash and other awards in goods have been set aside as prizes for best costumes. Frankie Yankovic will be the maestro on that occasion. 8:30 p. m. is the time set for beginning these last festivities. Besides above mentioned gifts our guests will have an opportunity to take home $70.00 in cash and an $18.00 sewing cabinet, all held in reserve just for them in connection with the conclusion of that well known widow's popularity contest, participated in by three selfsacrific-ing ladies, viz., Mrs. Josephine Baitt, Mrs. Mary Cervan and Mrs. Jennie Intihar. Each one's numerous friends claim they will not permit their favorite to come in last. So, you can just expect all kinds of excitement at the finish around 11 o'clock on Tuesday night. Talk about your close finishes in basketball games, which ha,ve ccol characters like Frances Primožič and Dot Poje sitting on edge! This' one will have them all bcEten in breathless expectation and heart-stopping excitement. Supposing two, or all three, end in a tie!!! Boy, o boy, would that be something! Come and watch it!! MISSION RENEWAL All school children of our district, please remember: A thiee day's children's mission is to begin on Thursday, the day after Ash Wednesday. A Redemptcrist Father, whose talks and instructions were so interesting last year, will be in charge again. We'll make arrangements with your public school authorities so that ALL OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN will be able to take part in it, if they will want to. Details will be announced tomorrow at all the Masses. Be sure and clean your ears in your Saturday bath so you'll understand them well. A week of mission renewal for adults will start a week from tomorrow. Please, spread the news among your friends so the Father Missionary will be pleased oy large attendance. And, lecommend the mission's success to God in your prayers. Won't you, please?! CORRECTION, PLEASE That cake, served after the Sodality meeting last week, was made by Ester Jamnik, cur next door neighbor. So much the better; we won't have so far to go when we'll feel like cheating the doctor in nis strict diet directions! Anne Dragozet's culinary effort is still coming next month. It will have to be good after all these advance notices!!! BASKETBALL NOTES We noted new converts Wednesday night . . . Bertha Lustig and Julia Femec saw their first game . . . Bertha wanted, to know why they should shoot baskets, when they aren't alive in the first place . . . Mi-. Andrews, the alert custodian, ever willing to please and satisfy every whim of fair rooters, promised to furnish live ones next time . . . Those Sporcic twins from E. 232nd St. also came for the first time and became so excited they forgot each other's names. Now I know even less which is which . . . Their neighbor, one of the Ste-pic girls, couldn't forget her boyfriend in spite of the excitement; she was trying to get rid of some tickets for him. Here's hoping she succeeded, provided that dance won't be during Lent . . . For, sincere Catholics don't attend public dances during that time . . . The. two Marys from Villa Angela again rooted for the opponents . . . That's why our seniors won . . . Genevieve Bradač apparently couldn't resist her sister's vivid descriptions of the goings on; so she joined Mary Jarc in the first "mezzanine" row . . . Nancy Marquette almost joined the two "traitors" only threats of dire consequences kept her in line till the outcome in our favor was no linger in doubt . . . When will the St. Vitus and St. Lawrence Juniors give us those promised return games? . . . And, why don't some seniors from those localities try to schedule some games with our boys? There's gold, and a lot of spirit in them thai-games! . . . And here's some swell news . . . Jack Shea, coach of St. Paul's Juniors, and we have completed arrangements for a carnival in Shore High gym on Thursday, March 24 ... Senior and junior teams arc to tangle to decide who's the better in this locality . . . And the tidbit of the evening will be—a game between two crack girls' teams —viz., the Bepp-Coombs lassies and the Pat Young's waitresses . . . What do ycu think of that for an evening's menu? . . . Our basketball boys and girls will have the tickets next week. They'll be 20c for adults and 5c for children in advance, and 25c and 10c at the gate . . . Better reach for them early; the gym accomodates only some 500 people . . . You can be sifre it's going to be a sell-out with the two rival parishes pushing the affair . . . Next Wednesday is Ash-Wednesday; gym doors will not open until after church services at, 8:30. Then cur seniors will have a game with Mcdern Crusaders' team from Ccllinwocd . ■ And . . . Monday our girls will play a scheduled game, if they come back alive from Mentor . . . There will be an admission of 5c eveiy Monday from now on. If girls pay that to see the boys on Wednesdays, the boys should b.e willing to pay that to see the girls on Mondays . . . Even Steven . . . until next week! All Around Town SEA SCOUT BRIDGE OF HONOR AND DANCE TONIGHT The Sea Scouts of Greater Cleveland numbering over 100 boys, are holding their annual city-wide Bridge cf Honor and Dance this evening, in the Auditorium of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, 2717 Euclid Avenue. The Sea Scout Ship Saratoga, local community organization, will have the unique distinction and rare honor of seeing one of its members promoted to the rank of Quartermaster Sea Scout. This is the highest honor to be achieved in the Sea Scout organization and tonight's presentation is the third ever made in the history of Cleveland Scouting. Mi-. Fred J. Prince, son of Mrs. Teresa Prince of 1017 East 71st Street, is the Sea Scout to be so honored tonight. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 250, of which the "Saratoga" is a division, and a Crew Leader in the Ship. He has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for six years and is a Five Year Veteran member of the Veteran Scout Association. Prince is also enrolled in the Senior Life Saving Corps of the American Red Cross, and was one of the two Cleveland boys who attended the National Jamboree at Washington, D. C. last summer, as a Sea Scout. Fred serves o'n several of the important committees of the Ship and is in charge of advancement, camping and hiking and recruit training in the Troop. He is 19 years old and is employed by the Chicago I-neumatic Tool Co. As his contribution to Sea Scouting, as required for the Quartermaster Rank, Prince is compiling a booklet containing "100 Traditions of the Sea." The research wqrk is being dene in cooperation with the Cleveland Public Library and if funds can be secured the work will be published and made available to other Sea Scout units. The only other Quartermaster Sea Scouts in Cleveland are also members of the "Saratoga," they are Joseph Zajc and Method Sulak who received their badges in March, 1935. In addition to the Quartermaster presentation, Cyril Sulak will receive his Lanyard as a Crew Leader, having recently been appointed to that office, and Milan Jaksic and Fred Prince will receive Special Long Cruise Badges for participation in the National Jamboree, as Sea Scouts. The "Saratoga," as a part of Troop 250 is sponsored by the Lake Shore Post No. 273 of the American Legion, and is for Scouts and boys 15 years of age and older. Mr. Joseph Mohar is chairman and Mr. Felix A. Dan-ton is scoutmaster and skipper. ---o--- MY TRIP TO THE MEDITERRANEAN by DORIS MARIE BIRTIC (Continuation.) Cur first stop was Christ's own garden' of prayer—Gethsemane. Before letting us in the gate, our guide told the Captain to please give his coat to his wife.—Short sleeves were not permissible. I wondered if he was going to let me "get by" with my summery attire, but no, he asked one of the Jesuits to lend me his coat. The poor fellow reddened but did as he was told, much to the amusement of his fellow scholastic. He was wearing a black bib-loke gar- TIIOUGHT FOR THE WEEK Two Tasks! The thought for this week shall deal with a common but much forge tten fact. Indeed few people today realise that each of us has only "Two Tasks" to perform throughout our life time. That may sound quite easy. Km-m. "Two Tasks!" I can easily do that. However, when you realize that these "two tasks" are: first, tc earn a living "honestly," and second, "The Salvation of our Soul." These two things are all that any human being must be careful to perform. Upon first being mentioned, it sounded quite easily done and yet— we—each and everyone of us, has 1'ound it trying and tiring. Many have learned to make an henest living but even among these there is a high percentage who have given the other of the "Two Tasks" and really the most important Task —"the Salvation of our Souls" very little thought. Indeed the salvation of the soul is our most important work. It is the soul and not the body that lives forever and if we are not, careful to fit it for "Everlasting Happiness," it will be cast into a place of eternal punishment. The fact that is most often fci gotten is that the soul must go to cne cf these places—heaven or hell! God, who created us, has only asked that we follow His commandments, "his wishes" to be more explicit so that following our trial here we may earn our Heavenly throne. Let each of us give this matter a thought. Next week begins Lent and a more appropriate time could not be found for making changes in our plans to perform our two most important tasks. To live honorably and by doing so saving our soul and earning "Heaven and eternal Happiness." —Lexicus. DRAMATIC GUILD PRODUCTION IS OVERWHELMING SUCCESS The St. Mary's Dramatic Guild production of the three act comedy drama "The Eagle Screams" received high compliments from those who saw the latest offering of this group Sunday at the Slovenian Home on Holmes Avenue. A near capacity house was on hand for this stellar performance which was under the direction of Rev. J. Celesnik and Paul Micale. The characters were so definitely portrayed by the players filling the diffeient roles that the crowd was simply astonished at the ability of a community group to so select members cf the cast that each character is outstanding in his or her role. The Diamatic Guild expresses its great thahks to the support given Its production by the St. Vitus visitors and the ever faithful Holy Family group that came with Father John Andel. The evening's program Was concluded with dancing to the music of Eddie Sesek and hiš boys. The Guild wished to express its great appreciation to August F. Sve-tek for his kind cooperation in donating the programs for the performance. Acknowledgment must be made also to A. Gidina and Sons for the use of furniture./ The very effective stage set up was the work of Stage Director Mike Anz-lin while Genevieve Zulich was responsible for the fine make-up of the individual characters. All in all, the performance was grand and the audience was especially sc, and for the many compliments and expressions of appreciation the Dramatic Guild is most thankful and shall endeavor to continue to provide delightful entertainment in the future. you taste the delicious cake Mf __ (from the parish house) bafea; , We thank all those responsible ™ very enjoyable evening, geed to be remembered! — Don t V tm EXECUTIVE COUNCIL PROJECT The St. Mary's Executive Council has come together and it now appeals to all parishioners and parish groups to lend a hand to make success certain in its first combined project. The complete plans have not yet been given out but the Executive Council shall have games on Friday nights as has been mentioned. The groups of the parish shall be asked tc each take some part of the task cf preparing and conducting these 'lovel nights of entertainment. WHAT I LIVE FOR I live to learn their story Who've suffered for my sake; To emulate their glory, And follow in their wake; Bards, patriots, martyrs, sages, The noble of all ages, Whose deeds crown history's pages, And time's great volume make. HOLY NAME MOVIES The Executive Board of the Holy Name Juniors wishes to announce that the first all-talking motion pic- ment which I believe, is called a rabble. It tied around the back and with a coat on, gave the appearance of a clergyman, but without the coat, it looked funny. He was embarrassed, and I was very uncomfortable, being the cause of his inconvenience. Besides, I didn't want to wear the coat, it was too hot. But orders were orders. The sign on the gate, written in several languages, also forbade ladies to enter with legs bared, and I chuckled once inside, for the guide had completely overlooked the fact that I was wearing anklets. The garden was very well kept, and flowers were blooming gayly among huge olive trees. The knarled, bent trunks of these trees made it seem as though they might be the same trees that stood when Christ lived. According to our guide, they really were, but one never knows. Oftentimes the guide interspersed fiction with fact in order to impress us more deeply, and consequently I never quite took him at his word. (To be continued.) ture of the "Passion Flay" entitled "Golgotha" shall be shewn on March 11, Friday afternoon at 4 P. M. and evening at 8 P. M. This film has been recommended by leading clergy of this country. The admission for children shall be 10 cents; for adults 25 cents. Arrange to see this all-important movie. 4nange a party of friends to attend. OBSERVATIONS It seems as if the Holy Name boys do win a game occasionally and so far have about a win for every loss and yet we hear little about the games. What's happening to your "cage crown" boys?. — Someone remarked: "The Eagle Screamed" when Jc Hrastar threw herself in front of "Wally" Ferlin in Sunday's production when the shot was fired. — Incidentally the performance was really a giand bit of acting, filled with humor and human interest. — Which leads us to remark that Sunday the Illirija players shall present their production — and on Tuesday you'll have your last chance to do the Big Apple, etc., for Lent is coming. Let's ccme out for the Pre-Lenten Dance given by the Sodality. So long till next week when there may be more to report. ( STATION YLS The Young Ladies' Sodality is holding a Pre-Lenten Dance on March L in the school hall. Bill Sneller and his orchestra will dish out the merry melodies. We are certain that the girls will make a go of this dance as they have on previous occasions. We will begin early. The dance admission is a mere quarter! Come, get your fun in before the Lenten season begins in earnest! This Sunday our Sodalists arei planning to visit the Old Folks' Home at 22nd and Woodland Ave., which is supervised by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Meeting at St. Mary's Church at 12:30 sharp, they will go in a body. The admission—only one Catholic magazine or periodical. We will have more of interest to tell you after we ccme back, and something of our group Committee plans. We will be with you again with sketches that we hope to obtain at our dance. We shall see what we shall see, and you can rest assured that our reporters will be on the lcokout! So, come one, come all, we ccrdially invite you to attend the Pre-Lenten Dance. Leave it up to us to extend the welcome! We assure you a £cod time, probably enough to tide you over, the Lenten season^ "The Eagle Screams" in a nutshell: the play—splendid! The audience— appreciative; the fetors—real troupers! Special bouquets to .Josephine Hrastar in her initiaK?) role; Albina Rcsel (Daisy Mae)'—your gum got me!; Millie Orenick and Mary Priric their hatuial selves; Jeanne and Marie Benevol, decidedly unljke! Angiela Skolar, well-groomed, tactful mother! Helen Cbolnar—different! ancl a perfect sec'y! "MICKI JE TREBA MOZA" Micka is certainly upsetting Collin-wood. Husbands come home— "What, no supper yet? What's the idea?" "But, John dear, I was with Jerica all afternoon and Urša, Ivanka, Anica were telling us all about Micka's "ungariš" illness, and how she has to get a husband and . . ." "Yes, yes, may God please help us That's all I hear around here. Nothing but Micka for breakfast, lunch, and dinner." ' "But, John dear, Urša was telling us about the "snubači" that came "Spela, please leave that affair to Micka and Urša. If that Micka does not get a husband pretty soon I'll make her a "slamnatega moža" then perhaps I'll get my meals more reg ularly and things will resume their normality." And mind you, this business of "Micki je treba moža" is not only creating a topsy-turvy world for Col-linwood, but out Newburg way at "Kurentova nevesta" the first thing that greeted our Collinwood visitors was "No, ali je Micka dobila moža?" On St. Clair, Jaka is tearing his hair out over all the commotion that was brought about by this unusual situation. Many mothers who have Micke at home have been calling him making _ this world a miserable place to live in, especially for editors. But, all you good people, just one more day of this bickering and matchmaking, just one more day, and "John dears" will get their suppers on time with no more entire afternoons devoted to Micka . . . everything will calm down after tomorrow night. So come all that have tickets and those also who did not buy them as yet (of these there are very few) for our secretaiy was left without a ticket for this past week, come and help our Micka select the cure for her "ungariš." • And a hint to all that are coming, please come early—the play will begin at 7:30 p. m. POSTLUDE: "Urša" (Mary Anslo-var) doesn't need any "ungariš" to get her mail—perseverance. — To date Janez (Frank Erzen) is the most prospective suitor. — Ah, yes, Micka is Mary Tomazin, or Mary Tomazin is Micka—something like that (You get the idea?) — Dekleta that have first - hand information about the wedding are Fanny Grill, Pauline Znidarsic, Ann Stefancic. — Juri (Joe Novak) will keep your glasses filled throughout the feast. — Koren (S. Trampus) will aid "politician" Hab-jan as toastmaster. — Best man and maid of honor are "Stanko" Brodnik and Alma Grill, -r- Most important, we present Mr. M. E. Rakar, our director. — The choir and church councilmen were guests at an informal gathering held Wednesday. — Did get "Micki je treba moža" »t Slovenian Home on Holmes Ave_;herf morrow evening at 7:30 p. m- { Ittl. is to be dancing after the pe" cS ance in the upper hall for those • inclined.
