Nemci so pred odhodom vršili pravcate orgije v mestu, kjer so p o žiga 1 i, razstreljevali in plenili. Neapelj so ustanovili stari Grki, toda imeli so ga že v oblasti Španci, Rimljani, Bizantin-ci, Goti, Normani, Germani, Francozi in zopet Nemci do danes. The program will begin at 3 p. m. For the past six years, this annual event was held at Euclid Beach Park, but conditions made it impossible to perform on a Saturday as heretofore, since most of the cadets are busily employed in war work Therefore, it was necessary to select a Sunday and a place easy to reach by public transportation. The competitive work will be preceded by a grand march in which all the drill teams of the organization will participate. Competitive work will follow. The judges will be U. S. Army officers. The winning drill team will receive the grand title of "1943 Honor Cadets." Admission will be free, but come early to get a seat and to give the participants the pleasure of starting the program on time. There will be plenty of seats for the spectators, but please come before 3 o'clock. Every year thus far, this particular competitive drill- work among the SWU drill teams attracted a lot of attention from the public and the spectators filled the balcony of the Log Cabin to capacity. The committee hopes that the public will turn out this year even in greater numbers since it's held in the vicinity, making the traveling possible from all parts of the city. Out-of-town guests are also expected. Colonel Albina Novak is the chairman of the committee, assisted by Major Frances Kurre. For an enjoyable and interesting afternoon be at Slovenian Auditorium this Sunday. Honor Roll Day Ceremonies Very Impressive The day of the blessing and dedication of our beautiful Honor Roll has come and gone, leaving with us only a memory to cherish. Even the heavens in all their glory smiled down on us, as the procession passed through the rectory yard, out onto Glass Avenue, and into the beautifully decorated "church, which was filled to capacity and more, with our parishioners — most of them, parents and relatives of our servicemen and women. It was truly an inspiring sight to view the colorful uniforms of the various drill teams, the ever-attractive national costumes worn by the Baraga Glee Club girls, the dignified blue and white of the September 26th 1943 will go down in the history of St. Vitus Church as an outstanding religious ceremony, one never to be forgotten by those who attended. Diocesan Honor Roll We will have another opportunity to pay tribute to our servicemen and women, TO-MORROWW, when the HONOR ROLL, from the Diocesan Chancery office, will come to St. Vitus Church. This book will be displayed in the Sodality clubroom, from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m., and it is your privilege to come down to enroll the name of your boy or girl, who is in the service, of our country. It is our earnest desire that each and every one, whose name is listed on our Honor Yugoslav (Slovene) Club Meeting The Yugoslav Slovene Club will hold a meeting on Monday, October 4th, at 8 p. m.
