A., Trieste - 1952 ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT British - United States Zone-Free Territory of Trieste Order No. 166 TRANSITORY PROVISIONS FOR COMPETITIONS FOR HOSPITALS’ MEDICAL PERSONNEL (AMENDMENT TO ORDER No. 52/1952) WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to extend the age limit for the engagement of medical 'personnel, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British-United States Forces, NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WINTERTON, KOMG, OB, CBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: ARTICLE I Article XV of Order No. 52, dated 28 March 1952, is hereby repealed and substituted by the following : „The benefit provided for by Article I of Order No. 47, dated 27 October 1947, „concerning the extension of the age limit for the engagement of medical („sanitario“) „personnel is hereby increased by three years and six months and extended to the competitions contemplated by this Order for the entire period of its application.“ ARTICLE II Those persons who avail themselves of the provisions set forth in the foregoing Article may enter competitions up to one day prior to the expiration of the term for the filing of the application for admission to the competition. ARTICLE III As to competitions which have already been announced prior to the effective date of this Order but have not been carried out, the Administrations concerned shall provide, if necessary, for the reopening of the relative time limits for filing the applications for admission to the competitions. WINTERTON Major General Ref. : LDfAf52ll71 Zone Commander Order No. 167 EXTENSION OF AGRICULTURAL CONTRACTS WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to further extend the agricultural contracts in force, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste, administered by the British- United States Forces, NOW, THEREFORE,. I, SIR JOHN WIN TEUTON, KO MG, GB, G BE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: ARTICLE I Verbal or written contracts, of metayage („mezzadria“), farm-leasing on shares („colonia parziaria“), crop-sharing („compartecipazione“) and lease stipulated with direct tenant farmers, including those with improvement clause („olausola miglioratoria“) and those of -metayage or farm-leasing („colonia“) combined with lease, are hereby extended up to the end of the agricultural year 1952-1953, including also those agricultural contracts commencing between 1 January and 1 March 1953 whenever the contract runs from such date owing to local custom. The provisions provided for in the foregoing paragraph shall not apply to direct tenant farmers who enjoy, as owners, emphyteusis-holders or usufructuaries, other land-property sufficient to absorb the working capacity of their own families. ARTICLE 11 The. extension set forth in the foregoing Article shall be governed, insofar as applicable, by the provisions of Orders No. 141, dated 3 June 1946 ; No. 256, dated 24 October 1946 ;No. 406, dated 2 July 1947 ; No. 415, dated 16 July 1946 ; No. 428, dated 25 July 1947 ; No. 430, dated 25 Jvdy 1947 ; No. 338, dated 2 December 1948 and No. 208, dated 17 November 1949. ARTICLE III As to lease-rents for the agricultural year 1951-1952, fixed with reference to the price of wheat, such price is hereby fixed at Lire 4,760 per quintal. ARTICLE IV The provisions concerning „equitable rents“ shall be applicable also to the first year of lease. Zone Çommander • Order No. 168 DRIVING LICENCE FOR MOTOR-CYCLE RIDERS (AMENDMENT TO THE CODE FOR ROAD-TRAFFIC) WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to clarify the provisions of Order No. 397, dated 16 December 1948, as integrated by Order No. 3, dated 8 January 1951, establishing the driving licence for motor-cycles, motor-cycles with sidecars and three-wheelers, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British- United States Forces ; NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WIN 'TER TON, KCMO, OB, OBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: ARTICLE I The following paragraph is hereby added to article 85-bis of R. D. 8 December 1933 No. 1740 (Code for Road Traffic): „The first, second and third grade driving licences referred to in article 82 shall „not qualify for the driving of motor-cycles, motor-cycles with sidecars and three-„wheelers. “ ARTICLE II This Order shall become effective on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette and shall be operative as from 1 January 1953.
