GREGORY THE GREAT SLOVENIAN PARISH 24/61 TROEDINI BOG Številka - Number / Leto - Year 15. 6. 2025 Danes obhajamo praznik Svete Trojice, ki nam odkriva, da je Bog ljubezen. Ljubezen med tremi različnimi osebami, ki so med seboj tako združene, da so en sam Bog. Ta skrivnost ni bila takoj razodeta. V stari zavezi niso vedeli za obstoj treh oseb v Bogu. SV. TROJICA Današnje prvo berilo nam razkriva eno od priprav na razodetje notra- njega Božjega življenja. Govori nam o Božji modrosti, ki je obstajala pred vsakim njegovim delom, kakor pravi sama: »Gospod me je imel v za- THE MOST HOLY četku svojih poti, pred svojimi pradavnimi deli.« »Bila sem zasnovana od TRINITY vekomaj, od začetka, preden je bila zemlja.« Odlomek iz knjige Pregovorov je pesniško besedilo, ki na konkreten način govori o začetkih stvarjenja: »Bila sem spočeta, ko še ni bilo pravodovja, ko še ni bilo zbiralnikov, polnih vodá. Preden so bile utrjene gore, pred hribi sem bila spočeta.« Modrost je bila pri Bogu kot arhitekt za gradnjo sveta in se je vsak trenutek veselila pred njim: »Kot njegova ljubljenka (stavbenica) sem bila ob njem, se veselila dan za dnem, se ves čas igrala pred njim. Igrala sem se na njegovem zemeljskem krogu in moje veselje je bilo pri FR. DRAGO GAČNIK, SDB človeških otrocih.« Tukaj že lahko vidimo vidik skrivnosti Trojice v njenih ŽUPNIK - PASTOR odnosih s človekom: Modrost je bila z Božje strani v odnosu z ljudmi. Andrej Gregor Rode Veleposlanik Slovenije v Kanadi V petek, 6. Junija 2025 zvečer so se po sedmi uri začeli zbirati gostje. Organizacija prireditve je bila v rokah Sonye Rosenwirth. Najprej je vse navzoče pozdravila Sonya Rosenwirth. Nadaljevali smo s kanadsko in slovensko himno, ki ju je vodil Brian Pavlič. Program je napovedoval in povezoval Simon Pribac. Navzoče je pozdravil John Doma (Slovenian Honorary Cousul General for Canada), za njim pa H.E. Andrej Rode, veleposlanik. Nato je Sonya R. Povabila različne predstavnike, ki so predstavili vsak svojo poslovno pot, začetkov pa do danes. Tako so predstavili Frat Rock Cellars in Dim Wine Company njihove začetke vinarstva, Florence Meat pa njihov posel kot mesarji. Za njimi je navzoče pozdrav Marjan Kolarič, Vera Margutsch, Fr. Drago Gačnik. Ko presenečenje večera je Sonja predstavila Vokalno skupino Plamen iz Toronta, ki so nam zapeli nekaj slovenskih pesmi. Večer se je nadaljeval ob glasbi ansambla Šibaj, slovenski hrani in pijači. (Florence Meats, International Meats & Deli, VSKO Dessert Table, Flat Rock Cellars, Shawn & Ed Brewers, Dim Wine Company) Nekateri so tudi zaplesali. V spodnji dvorani se je zbralo več kot sto navzočih, ki so uživali ob programu, pozneje pa v prijetnem druženju do poznega večera. Ves dogodek je s kamero posnel in ovekovečil Mario Resnick. Oba stara 56 let”, so zapisali v osmrtnici. Velika izguba v prvi vrsti za hčerki Amando in Alexandro, za Petrova starša Franka in Lojzko, sestro Emily Archer (Matthew) z družino in brata Gregorja. Prav tako tudi za Lindina brata Armina (Mary) in Danny-ja (Denice) Leitenberger. Izguba pa tudi za slovensko skupnost, saj sta bila vključena in aktivno sodelovala v cerkvi, pri društvu sv. Jožefa (Peter je bil pred- sednik društva) in v Slovenskem Parku. Od pokojnih ste se v velikem številu poslovili v Smith’s Funeral Home (Stoney Creek) v sredo, 11. junija popoldne med 2. in 5. uro in 6. in 9. uro zvečer. Ob dveh popoldne smo se zbrali pri molitvi za pokoj njunih duš. Pogrebno sveto mašo smo darovali v četrtek, 12. Junija ob 10. uri v naši župnijski cerkvi. Cerkev se je napolnila do zadnjega kotička, pa še tudi v atriju in kapelici je bilo polno. Pri maši je pel angleški zbor, ki je izbral pesmi, primerne za to mašo. Po maši smo ju pospremili k večnemu počitku na pokopališče Mountview Gardens - Stoney Creek, kjer so njuno žaro položili v za to pripravljen prostor. Iskreno sožalje hčerkama Amandi in Alexandri, Franku in Lojzki in vsem sorodnikom. Pokojna Peter in Linda, pa naj uživata pri Bogu večni mir in pokoj.
