The publication From Ideas to Action for a Fairer and More Sustainable World: An E-Guide to Active Citizenship was developed as part of the Pathfinders for a Fairer and More Sustainable World project. It is intended for children, young people, youth leaders, educators and others who wish to actively contribute to a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable community. The first part explains the fundamental concepts of active citizenship, sustainable development, the Sustainable Development Goals and global education, while highlighting the connections between everyday decisions and global challenges. The practical part provides advice, examples of good practices and proposals for local initiatives in the areas of responsible consumption, food and water management, reuse of items, energy conservation, sustainable mobility, nature protection, responsible use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, solidarity, volunteering, peacebuilding, and intergenerational and peer cooperation. Children and young people participated in developing the content by contributing their ideas, experiences, written reflections and drawings.
